Accounts Payable- Wholesaler

The Accounts Payable- Wholesaler position is an all-encompassing role which provides the foundation for a career in Accounting. This is an integral role within the Accounting Department. The main focus of this role is using the accounting system to process transactions, verifying accuracy, preparing reports, analysis, reconciliations, providing recommendations and meeting payment requirements. This role requires an individual with technical skills who is able to think methodically and maintain an overview of the entire scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record, verify pricing and process wholesaler invoices in a timely manner.
  • Process payments to wholesalers in accordance with the Company‚Äôs payment policies
  • Prepare purchase orders and revisions and ensure correct allocation for accounting and tax purposes
  • Review, record and pay utility and supply invoices within deadlines
  • Review and reconcile supplier statements on a monthly basis
  • Gather, summarize and report monthly on all completed service work orders
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Post-Secondary Education or equivalent combination of technical training and/or work experience
  • Ability to prepare, examine, analyze accounting records and other financial reports to assess accuracy and conformance to Kelson standards
  • Knowledge of Financial and Management Accounting, excellent analytical skills
  • Demonstrated team work and people skills enabling you to work with a diverse team of contributors
  • Self-directed and proactive with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to perform in a deadline oriented environment with multiple priorities and multiple internal and external customers
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence and collaboration)
  • Excellent computer skills including utilizing MS Office, and other in-house software. Experience with Jonas Software, an asset
