Quinte Health Care – Phase 1
Completion: February 08, 2010
Total Construction Value: $72,200,000
Size: 153000 sq. ft., 22000 square foot renovation
The first phase of Quinte Health Care’s multi-phase construction project featured a five-storey addition to accommodate the relocation and expansion of the Complex Care and Rehabilitation units, new facilities for the Children’s Treatment Centre, and an addition to expand the intensive care unit.
Kelson’s scope of work involved the following:
- Install two air handling units
- Install one new chiller and relocate existing chiller
- Construct new mechanical rooms and retrofit existing mechanical rooms to meet today’s standard
- Integrate newly installed services – controls, medical gas, sheet metal, heating, steam, chilled and domestic water, sanitary and storm drains – with existing services
Kelson brought all the new mechanical systems online while maintaining existing services and minimizing the impact to hospital practices.
