Algonquin College Co-generation
Completion: October 30, 2017
Location: Ottawa
The project consists of the Implementation of Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Facility, including a 2MW Natural Gas-Fired Reciprocating Engine with Absorption Chiller. The cogeneration plan is installed within a new pre-engineered building and tied back into the existing heating and cooling plant of the college.
Mechanical Systems
The equipment installed includes: Engine/generator skid, Sound attenuation enclosure around engine/generator skid, Heat recovery boiler on enclosure package. Pre-engineered Exhaust breeching. Complete building HVAC requirements. Absorption Chiller. Pumps. Cooling Tower. Dry Coolers. All interconnected piping including, Heating, chilled water, condenser water, complete glycol system and natural gas. Air compressor (supplied by vendor, installed by contractor). Urea tank
