The new North Bay Regional Health Centre facility, completed in 2010, includes a state-of-the-art acute care hospital and a modern, rehabilitation-focused mental health facility, all housed in one cooperative health care campus. The facility accommodates 275 acute care beds, 113 mental health beds, and associated outpatient and support services.
Mechanical Systems
Kelson coordinated and installed the following mechanical systems: heating, chilled, domestic water, drainage, reverse osmosis water, natural gas, fuel oil, medical gas, pneumatic tube, sprinkler, standpipe, sheet metal, and controls. Other work included:
- Install chiller plant, including three 625-ton chillers complete with associated cooling towers and pumps.
- Install heating plant to handle load of 20,600,000 BTU
- Provide multi-purpose steam plant (sterilization, humidification, kitchen)
- Install 29 air handling units
